B.
The Syndicate of Utkal University as per resolution
in its meeting held on 07.03.1969, has recorded
the decision of the Government of Orissa in
regard to the change of the name of the Government
Women's College, Bhubaneswar to "Rama
Devi Women's College", Bhubaneswar. This
was communicated to the Secretary to Government
of Orissa, Department of Education & Youth
Services, Bhubaneswar by the Assistant Registrar
(Admn.), Utkal University vide letter no.
69878 dated 20th March, 1969. |

C.
The College has been declared Autonomous vide
U.U. Notification No. Dev-1/145/38257/99 dated
19.6.1999 and the status of the Autonomous
College was conferred by Govt. of Orissa,
Department of Higher Education vide their
Notification No. 50351/I-H.E./AC-1/98/HE dated
12.10.1999. |

The Rama Devi Women's Autonomous College (for
Degree and P.G. Classes) and Rama Devi Women's
Junior College (for Higher Secondary Classes)
were separated vide Govt. Notification No.
29412/HE dated 15.05.2001. |

The building was constructed by Capital Construction
Division, Bubaneswar. |
